"Too Close To Turn Back: Covering America's Children," Georgetown University Center for Children and Families: The report recommends that policymakers address several issues when reauthorizing state SCHIP programs, including providing adequate funding to cover more children, protecting and improving Medicaid, eliminating enrollment barriers and promoting quality initiatives. The report also calls on the 110th Congress to make reauthorizing state SCHIP programs a top priority (Center for Children and Families press release, 12/12).
A webcast of an event to release the report's findings -- sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics, March of Dimes, National Association of Children's Hospitals and Georgetown University Center for Children and Families -- is available online at kaisernetwork.
