The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) is pleased to announce 'Impacts of New Paradigms on Skeletal Health Assessment: a joint ISCD-IOF meeting' to take place in Orlando, FL, USA, March 11-14, 2009.

Prompt and concerted inter-organizational cooperation has yielded a four-day world-class skeletal health meeting with global representation and impact. At this joint meeting, IOF and the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) anticipate an interchange of ideas that will stimulate thought and debate, with the goal of advancing global skeletal health.

New Frontiers in Osteoporosis Therapies, with presentations by Robert Blank, MD, PhD, CCD, Stuart Silverman, MD, and John Bilezikian, MD

Pediatric Skeletal Health Symposum: 2007 Position Development Conference Review with presentations by Catherine Gordon, MD, Babette Zemel, PhD, Mary Leonard, MD, M. Zulf Mughal, MBChB and Linda DiMeglio. Plenary presentations by Nelson B. Watts, MD, CCD and Jane Cauley, PhD will introduce the first of several stimulating international panel discussions on the WHO Fracture Risk Assessment Tool. Individual scientists will be honored at ISCD award ceremonies including the presentation of the IOF Medal Of Achievement. Additionally, there will be a Eulogy for IOF Founding President Pierre D. Delmas.
